The Black Belt Program for Audio Engineers is STM Production’s own live-sound training course, built around hands-on practice on a Midas M32 digital console. The programme is made up of six workshops grouped into three belts: Yellow Belt covers live sound and stage setup and M32 operation and digital routing; Green Belt covers mixing techniques and signal processing, and monitors, wireless and show operation; Black Belt covers PA systems, acoustics and measurement, and finishes with live production and a final practical assessment.
Each workshop is a full day of hands-on training led by programme coordinator Serge Tanios with experienced live-sound instructors. Participants receive a certificate per workshop and a full programme certificate after all six, with potential collaboration with STM Production once certified.
